Attend The 30A Songwriters Festival

Songwriters
This January, some of the nation’s most creative musicians will come together in Florida for a long weekend of unforgettable performances. Make your plans to attend the 11th annual 30A Songwriters Festival!

When and Where

The festival is set for January 17 through 20, and it will bring music to nearly 30 venues across South Walton. The first musician goes on at 5 p.m. that Friday. Tickets are available HERE. Shuttles will help you access all the shows on your wish list, and the organizers have introduced a festival app this year to make planning easier than ever.

The Headliners

This year’s list of seasoned headliners features Indigo Girls, John Prine, and Tanya Tucker on Saturday, January 18. The next day, the main stage will host Don McLean, Brian Wilson, and Peter Noone with Herman’s Hermits. Each of these artists has made their lasting mark on music history, and they continue to write and record today. Indigo Girls have just recorded a new album titled Look Long, and Tanya Tucker just released While I’m Livin’ last summer. Country legend John Prine is due to receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award later in 2020.

The Songwriters

For the 11th annual festival, 30A will feature more than 200 gifted musicians in a variety of venues. Artists will travel from all across the U.S. to perform for the assembled crowd, and each one has a unique story to tell through song. Wordsmiths like Adam Hood from Alabama and Danielle Howle from South Carolina will share the expansive bill with sonic explorers like NYC’s Daphne Willis and Nola’s Cha Wa. You’ll hear the voices behind the latest radio hits, and you’ll see acclaimed musicians up-close in intimate spaces, from Sister Hazel’s Ken Block and Drew Copeland to the thoroughly-traveled Stephen Kellogg.

Up-Close and Personal

The Songwriters Festival will transform restaurants, bars, and other venues across 30A into listening rooms for the weekend. Indoors, outdoors, on the patio, or by the sea, each of these spaces will allow the unique opportunity to hear an artist’s work free from background chatter or other noise. Listening rooms are all about the music and the lyrics, and 30A invites you to come tune-out the day’s distractions and share a special moment with the musicians. This year’s venues include Central Square Records, Rosemary Beach Town Hall, Seaside Repertory Theatre, and many more.
