Based on a prominent 1980s hit film, 9 to 5 the musical is a performance which takes Dolly Parton’s songs and lyrics and Patricia Resnick’s writings and fuses them into a compelling piece of art. Directed by Don Goodrun, this intriguing story centers around friendship and retribution at the office place. It is a funny, entertaining and repeatedly romantic musical performance.
About 9 to 5 the Musical
Three female co-workers Judy, Violet and Doralee realize that, even in a man’s world, there is nothing they can’t do. Pushed by circumstances at the workplace they come up with a plan to get even with their boss whom they accuse of being evil, lying, hypocritical, egotistical and sexist. With a properly concocted plan, they live their fantasy and put the boss on the spot. The performance is spiced up with sweet and indulging music by award-winning singer and songwriter Dolly Parton and the striking prowess of the cast which will leave the audience indulged.
