Struggling to get through the full week at work? Wine Down Wednesdays can be just what you need to relax while feeling productive. You’ll get to enjoy a glass of wine while mingling and networking with other local business professionals.
Where and When
Wine Down Wednesdays are hosted by the Meridian at Westwood, which is a Pacifica Senior Living Community. Despite the Meridian’s function during the day, this happy hour is the perfect chance to mingle with other business professionals. It takes place on the last Wednesday of each month, so mark August 30th on your calendar. This monthly event is always from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., giving you an hour and a half to mingle.
Snacks and Wine
The wine at Wine Down Wednesdays will help you relax, but you don’t have to worry about it getting you tipsy. There are always hors d’oeuvres to complement the wine and help stave off your hunger until you go get dinner. This event is hosted by Okaloosa Island, so you don’t have to do anything except show up and be social while you’re there; the wine should help with that. Just don’t count on the appetizers being enough to count as dinner. They will tide you over until then, but that’s about it. After all, the focus of this event is meeting new people and networking, not eating.
Relax and Network!
The great thing about Wine Down Wednesdays is that it lets you relax while still networking. The casual atmosphere helps you unwind, but because the event always attracts local business professionals, you can also network. Use this event as a chance to get the word out about your business out or to find a new job. At the very least, you will get the chance to meet and mingle with other locals, letting you make new friends.
Where to Eat After
After Wine Down Wednesdays, you may want to head to dinner at a local restaurant instead of heading home and making food. If your networking and mingling are going well, you may even decide to head to a nearby restaurant with someone else from the event! Get a bite and some beach views at Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill or enjoy some seafood with a view at The Gulf, one of the newer restaurants in Okaloosa Island. You could also get some pizza to share with your new friends and contacts at Helen Back Café.
