Bring The Shrimp Boil Home

Low Country Boil

It’s football season at the beach, and you know what that means – it’s the perfect time to have a shrimp boil. Instead of dropping a bunch of cash on an order-head, price-per-head seafood order, use this shrimp boil recipe to wow your guests with a table full of shrimp goodness.

Tips to Remember

  • To achieve the best flavor, you’ll want to use the largest shrimp on the market. Shop in the range of 16-20 count jumbo shrimps.
  • If you want that fresh flavor you can achieve from ordering at a restaurant, it is best to use fresh corn on the cob. Although, the color is totally up to you, whether you prefer yellow, white, or bi-color corn.
  • Don’t forget the sausage! If you can stand a kick, grab some andouille sausage, but if you prefer a more mild flavor, kielbasa will be the perfect compliment to your shrimp boil.
  • It doesn’t matter if your shrimps have the shells on while you boil them. Most remove the shells simply because it makes the shrimps easier to eat. After all, this shrimp boil recipe is out of this world, so the quicker you can chow down, the better.
