If you’re looking for a fun way to spend a socially-distanced evening on the town, Suds n Cinema has reopened and is ready to welcome you back for a night of good food and a good movie. Let’s dive in and see everything that Suds n Cinema has to offer!

History of Suds N Cinema

Suds n Cinema began as the Tringas Theater owned by John Tringas. The building was constructed in the 1940s and was designed to be an anchor of downtown Fort Walton Beach. Throughout the decades, the Tringas Theater was constantly reinventing itself to keep up with a rapidly changing culture, and the theatre saw several iterations of the “dinner and a show” model.

In 2018, the theater was purchased by new owners and a major renovation took place over the course of about nine months. During this renovation, much of the theater was restored to its original glory while many systems such as the HVAC and electrical were completely replaced. The theater once again operates showing a selection of movies each week served up alongside Suds n Cinema’s famous pizzas, sandwiches, and hotdogs.

Catch A Show

Each week Suds N Cinema selects a few movies to show during dinner and matinee services at the theatre. Recent selections have included popular favorites such as Crazy Rich Asians, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Pink Floyd: The Wall, and Get Out. Suds N Cinema recommends arriving to the theater at least 20 minutes before the show starts to allow time to order and receive your food.

Menu

The menu at Suds N Cinema is exactly what you’d want to munch on while you sit back and take in one of your favorite films. They offer a selection of pizzas such as the Tringas which treats you to pepperoni, bacon, and Conecuh sausace, the Downtowner with onions, green peppers, roasted garlic, mushrooms, and jalapenos, and the Godzilla with steak, chicken, and Conecuh sausage.

You’ll also find a variety of paninis and hot dogs like the King Kong panini with steak, chicken, and sausage and the Sausage Dog with a Conecuh sausage hot dog, ketchup, mustard, or jalapeno raspberry jelly.

Those hoping for something on the lighter side will love the boiled peanuts, popcorn, and chips and queso available at Suds n Cinema.
