Every year Nissan makes small updates on each of its models. Sometimes these are minor and barely noticeable, while other times the vehicle gets a complete overhaul. In the case of the 2016 Nissan Maxima, those familiar with the model will notice plenty of changes, each of which adds to the refinement, performance, features, or overall quality of the sedan.
Improved Performance
When Texas drivers hear that the 2016 Nissan Maxima has the same engine as the previous model year, they will not know how to react at first. Not only did the old 3.5-liter V6 with its continuously variable transmission deliver a top performance, but it has been improved. The new V6 generates 300 horsepower, an improvement from 290 horses. This is thanks to the engine being made up of 60 percent new parts, which have allowed for an improvement in horsepower as well as a 15 percent increase in fuel economy bringing it to 30 mpg highway*.
New Design Language
Nissan has been slowly implementing a new design language, such as that found on the Murano, and the 2016 Maxima takes advantage of this. This aggressive design includes two U-shaped grilles, headlights in the boomerang style, swooping chrome accents, body line creases that intersect, flared fenders, bulging quarter panels, and c-pillars that have been blacked out. Sitting inside the Maxima makes it almost seem like this is the four-door cousin of the powerful and sporty GT-R.
The 2016 Nissan Maxima is already available at Lee Nissan, so head to the dealership in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to learn more about its numerous updates.
