Most people don’t expect a great deal of updates for the 2017 Nissan Maxima considering the model was all-new for 2016. Even with the recent redesign, Nissan decided that the Maxima could do with a few minor updates, making it an even better sedan that can keep up in the competition against luxury competitors.
2017 Nissan Maxima Features
The biggest change to the 2017 Maxima is the addition of Apple CarPlay for iPhone connectivity to every single model in the lineup. 
This feature is now standard, joining other features, like the 8-inch touchscreen, remote engine start, the rearview monitor, and NissanConnect with Navigation. This NissanConnect system also includes things like SiriusXM Satellite Radio plus SiriusXM Travel Link, Bluetooth, Nissan Voice Recognition, the Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant, and two USB connection ports in the front with illumination so you can connect to the iPod interface.
New Maxima Packages
If you want to customize your Maxima, you will notice that Nissan has also added two new packages. The Dynamic Package builds on the Maxima SV trim level and adds in a premium spoiler, illuminated kick plate, side rocker molding, and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. If you go with the Maxima Platinum trim, you can add the Medallion Package, another new option. Doing so will give you the 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and illuminated kick plates. It also includes exterior ground lighting and interior accent lighting. As with the 2016 version, the 2017 Maxima SR offers a Midnight Edition, giving you a rear diffuser, sport spoiler, and 19-inch gloss black wheels made of aluminum alloy.

You can already find the new 2017 Maxima at your local dealership. The base Maxima S trim starts at $32,560** while the top-of-the-line Platinum trim level starts at $39,990**. There are five trims in total.
