Fort Walton Beach, Florida residents, are getting geared up for the annual Easter Explosion, held every year at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in West Miramar Beach, Florida. You will find it on Choctawhatchee Bay in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Every year on the day before Easter Sunday they produce the most amazing and fun Easter event. The Village is known locally as the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort’s “heart and soul,” a great place that is free for the public to enter and enjoy.

There will be tons of family fun at the annual Easter explosion with inflatables, lawn games, family crafts and you can even visit and take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

Fishing Fun at the Wharf
Fish with your kids in the local lagoon. Don’t worry; it is always “catch and release” at the lagoon. Fishing bait is available at the Baytowne Marina for purchase. Guests are welcome to fish in the lagoon. Bait can be purchased at the Baytowne Marina. Please note the Village Lagoon is catch and release only. Bring the whole family and enjoy all the fun and the spectacle of fun.
Shopping at the Wharf
There are special shopping opportunities with local merchants offering huge discounts, up to 75% off in some stores. For instance, stop in at the Sandestin Clothing Company during the Easter Explosion and get an additional 25% discount on clearance and special sale items, resulting in a whopping 50% off! You will find similar deals at the Barefoot Princess, Coconut Kidz, and Island Clothiers. You will find specials to buy and special events to partake in, as well as lots of fine food and drinks for the adults and children alike.
The whole area, including many retail stores and a dozen restaurants, are pet-friendly places, so long as dogs are kept on leashes. Valet parking is available for $6 at the entrance to Baytowne.
