Kids don’t have to wait until October 31 to go trick-or-treating, because one of Destin’s premier shopping malls will host a special night of Halloween fun a week before the holiday! Get creative and make some costumes for the Halloween Haunt at Destin Commons!
When and Where
The Halloween Haunt will be held at Destin Commons on Friday, October 25. It will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Entry to this event is free. Destin Commons is located at 4100 Legendary Drive, Destin, Florida 32541.
The Halloween Haunt
Children ages two to 12 are invited to come dressed in their trick-or-treating best, and even your dog may attend in costume. Kids can participate in a costume contest for a chance to win a variety of prizes. No matter what character or creature they want to dress as, children can go trick-or-treating around Destin Commons for a safe night out and a sweet reward. Various stores will participate in a sprawling trick-or-treat route throughout the shopping center. In addition to these Halloween standards, the Haunt will also feature face painting, a photo booth, and craft activities.
Costume Ideas
The costume contest is the perfect opportunity to get creative with your family and exercise young imaginations. Everyone can participate in crafting a costume, and a do-it-yourself outfit adds a personalized touch to the night’s festivities. Kids could drop into the book store as this bookworm, or amuse retailers as a bull in a china shop.
